With more water released from Karnataka reaching the Mettur dam, the inflow was 30,289 cusecs on Monday against 17,075 the previous day.
PWD officials said the dam level was 79.10 feet against its full level of 120 feet.
Storage was 41.06 thousand million cubic feet (tmcft) against the full storage of 93.47 tmcft.
During the corresponding day last year, the level was 75.45 feet. Later the level reached the mandatory 90 feet and water was released for kuruvai cultivation in September.
