BJP cadres took to the streets here on Monday condemning the recent murder of party leader ‘Auditor’ Ramesh in Salem. Responding to the party’s bandh call, over 300 cadre including women held demonstrations at 13 places in the city demanding the police and Government to trace the killers immediately and punish them, according to Saseeraman, District Propaganda Cell Vice-President. In the city, 302 activists were held and released by the police.
